A surprise storm dropped a good amount of snow across the desert floor one late November night. The morning sun revealed a sight seldom seen -- the desert floor in enrobed in white. Sage and Joshua tree, juniper and creosote bush, all were coated in blankets of white. Still in the season of autumn, a few golden leaves yet clung to the cottonwood branches. The resulting view was a lovely scene of autumn meets winter wonderland.
